LSI Corporation (LSI) designs, develops and markets semiconductors and storage systems. LSI provides silicon-to-system solutions that are used at the core of products that create, store, consume and transport digital information. It offers a portfolio of capabilities, including custom and standard product integrated circuits used in hard disk drives, high-speed communications systems, computer servers, storage systems and personal computers. The Company also offers external storage systems, host bus adapter boards and software applications for attaching storage devices to computer servers and for storage area networks. LSI operates in two segments: the Semiconductor segment and the Storage Systems segment. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Semiconductor segment accounted for approximately 67.1% of the Company’s revenue and the Storage Systems segment accounted for approximately 32.9% of its revenu
