Aura Silver Resources Inc. is a development stage junior mining company engaged in the identification acquisition, evaluation and exploration of mineral properties principally in North America. The Company’s exploration assets are in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The Greyhound Lake, (Canada); Pine Creek, (Idaho, United States); Taviche, (Mexico); Cerro Petancol/Ojo Blanco (El Salvador), and Island of Martinique. It has two active projects searching for silver across North America. One is located in Mexico and the second is located in Archean greenstone belt in the far north of Canada. Its Greyhound Lake Property is a silver and base metal prospect located in the Churchill region of Nunavut in Canada. In February 2008, the Company announced that it has terminated its option to earn an interest in the Pine Creek Area Properties from Sterling Mining Company, and it intends not conduct further exploration at Pine Creek.
