Kent Exploration Inc.: Gnaweeda Gold Project Phase I Diamond Drill Program Completed

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, April 6, 2010- Kent Exploration Inc. (the “Company” or “Kent”) (TSX VENTURE:KEX), reports that it has completed an eight hole, approximately 1,576 meter diamond drill program on the Gnaweeda Gold Project in Western Australia. Approximately 1,137 meters was drilled on the Turnberry Zone and 440 meters was drilled on the Bunarra zone.

Of the five diamond drill holes on the Turnberry zone, GNAD-1 tested down dip of GNRC007 (1m @ 69.6g/t Au), GNAD-2 tested the trend defined by TRC202-2 (32m @ 0.6g/t Au), GNRC002 (16m @ 1.2g/t Au, incl. 1m @ 11.1g/t Au) and TRCD203-2 (44m @ 0.6g/t Au and 1m @ 18.9g/t Au), GNAD-3 tested the intercept in GNRC009 (8m @ 9g/t Au, incl. 2m @ 34g/t Au), GNAD-4 tested along strike 160m south of GNRC009 and GNAD-5 tested along strike 320m south of GNRC009.

Of the three diamond drill holes on the Bunarra zone, GNAD55 tested down dip of BBP2 (3m @ 4.1 g/t Au from 24m, incl. 1m @ 10g/t Au) GNAD56 tested down dip of GNARCDP55 and GNAD57 tested down dip of GNAD56, below BBP11 (5m @ 7.02 g/t Au from 30m, incl 2m @ 15 g/t Au).

The targeted shear/alteration zones were intersected as planned, with GNAD-4 extended to 276 meters from the planned 240 meters. The diamond drill locations and sections can be viewed on the Company’s Archean Star website at;

The Turnberry core has been split and logged and submitted to ALS Chemex in Perth, WA for assay. Assays are projected to be completed approximately mid May, 2010. The Bunarra core is to be submitted to ALS Chemex on completion of core splitting and logging and assays are projected to be completed approximately end of May, 2010.

The Company reports that in a news release dated March 31, 2010, Doray Minerals, an ASX listed company which is currently exploring its Andy Wells project, approximately 13 km to the north-west of the Turnberry zone at Gnaweeda, has reported bonanza grade assays from its recent drilling program. The Company’s Annual General and Special Meeting, which is to consider the proposed spin-off of the Gnaweeda property, will be held in Vancouver at 10:00AM, April 30, 2010.

The Company will be exhibiting at the Cambridge House “Calgary Resource Investment Conference” April 10-11, at the Calgary Convention Center.

The Company advises that with the exception of TRC202-2 and TRCD203-2 as noted above, the grades in the drill holes in the vicinity of the Company’s diamond drill holes are of a historic nature and have not been confirmed. The diamond drill program on the Gnaweeda Gold Project is under the direction of Ms. Nancy Reardon, M.Sc. P.Geol.

Kent Exploration Inc is a junior exploration company that has an Option Agreement to earn 100% of Teck’s interest in Chalice Gold Mines Limited’s Gnaweeda Gold Project in West Australia and has acquired the Alexander River, Paparoa and Lyell gold projects in the highly prolific Reefton gold field in New Zealand.

The Company has a 100% interest in Coal Prospecting Permits covering approximately 92,000 ha in east-central Saskatchewan, a 100% interest in a mining lease option on the Flagstaff Mountain property, a gold/silver/zinc/barite prospect in eastern Washington state, a 100% interest in the mining lease option on the Ivanhoe Creek property, a Midas-style gold/silver target in Nevada’s Carlin Trend, and 50% of a 100% interest in the Ivanhoe Creek placer claims covering a bentonite deposit.
