MegaWest Energy Corp is a non-conventional oil company with emphasis on North American heavy oil projects. The Company has operatorship of, and owns or has the right to earn a majority interest in, over 146,000 gross acres of prospective oil and gas leases in Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Montana and Texas. During the fiscal year ended April 30, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company sold 8,812 barrels of oil from its Marmaton River (Missouri) project. During fiscal 2009, the Company sold 10% interest in 15,313 acres of the Missouri oil and gas property, including the Grassy Creek and Marmaton River projects.
