NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Watts Water Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of water control and treatment products headquartered here, and its associated brands are making available a complete line of lead-free products by the middle of this year, according to a March 6 company press release.
The move is to address recent changes in legislation in California and Vermont that mandate the reduction of lead in pipes, fittings and fixtures used to convey water for drinking or cooking which are set to take effect January 1, 2010
In addition, Watts Water Technologies has launched a new informational Web site (www.WeAreLeadFree.net) designed to provide updates on what is happening around the country with lead-free legislation and requirements.
