Harley-Davidson tops forecasts as international sales improve

Shares of the company rose 5.2% in premarket trading as it reported the first rise in international sales in a year and a dip of just 3.6% in U.S. retail motorcycle sales, its smallest quarterly decline in nearly three years. U.S. homebuilder PulteGroup Inc reported better-than-expected third-quarter profit and revenue on Tuesday, as lower mortgage rates boosted demand. Switzerland has pressed charges against a person in a corruption probe of Brazilian state oil company Petrobras and construction firm Odebrecht, the attorney general’s office said, adding it was seeking to conclude the case quickly.
