UPDATE 1-Vitol signs 10-year deal to buy Nigeria's LNG from 2021

Commodities trader Vitol has signed a 10-year deal with Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) to buy 500,000 tonnes of LNG per year, ramping up its long-term presence on the market. “The agreement underscores NLNG’s drive…to deliver LNG on a global scale in a low carbon world where gas/LNG will continue to be the preferred complementary energy source alongside renewables,” Vitol said in a statement. China’s aviation regulator raised “important concerns” with Boeing Co on the reliability and security of design changes to the grounded 737 MAX, it said on Thursday, but declined to comment on when the plane might fly again in China. Oil prices rise on OPEC deficit forecast

Oil prices rose on Thursday, recouping some of the losses from the previous session that followed a surprise increase in U.S. crude inventories, as the market mood switched to relief after OPEC forecast a supply deficit next year. West Texas Intermediate crude was up 12 cents, or 0.2%, at $58.88 a barrel, following a 0.8% drop the previous session.
