Exclusive: ECB flags failings in dirty-money screening at Malta's top bank

Malta’s biggest bank failed for years to detect or address risks involving thousands of payments, the European Central Bank (ECB) said, detailing “severe shortcomings” that could have allowed money laundering or other criminal activities. A confidential ECB report seen by Reuters said Bank of Valletta (BoV) had not dealt with a litany of risk management failings despite repeated warnings from the Frankfurt-based regulator stretching back to 2015. Automakers Poised to Lose Airwaves Rights as FCC Drops a Promise

(Bloomberg) — U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai plans to advance a proposal to take back some airwaves long promised to automakers, and instead allow other wireless uses on the frequencies, according to people familiar with the matter.Pai intends to set a Dec. 12 vote by the commission, where he leads a Republican majority, on the proposal to modify the grant of airwaves the agency made 20 years ago, said two people briefed on the plan.
