Record low spot prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG) are attracting buying interest from companies in Asia hunting a bargain after China’s top buyer of the fuel declared force majeure last week, four trade sources said on Monday. Sellers, however, are wary because of an array of operational issues, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
