“We are discussing (battery) cell manufacturing,” Ford’s Chief Executive Officer Jim Farley said Friday at the Reuters Automotive Summit teleconference. As recently as last July, then-CEO Jim Hackett said there was “no advantage” to Ford making its own battery cells.
