JetBlue resets cost structure to enable low airfares for next decade

JetBlue Airways Corp said on Thursday it had shaved $314 million off its cost base over the past three years, delivering on a cost-cutting drive designed to enable budget-friendly airfares over the next decade. Curbing costs is a priority for many companies, but particularly for airlines like JetBlue, where costs have been rising faster than for many peers and whose business model depends on fares that can compete with legacy airlines.

Mercedes halves EV production target due to battery shortage – Manager Magazin

Daimler has been forced to reduce production targets for its Mercedes-Benz EQC electric car from about 60,000 to 30,000 this year, due to a supply shortage of battery cells from LG Chem, Manager Magazin said on Thursday. (Bloomberg) — Wells Fargo & Co.’s main regulator is preparing civil charges against former managers related to their roles in its retail banking scandals, people familiar with the matter said.The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has been readying so-called notices of charges against as many as 10 individuals, and may reach settlements with some, the people said, asking not to be identified because the discussions aren’t public.
