U.S. electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc on Monday began delivering Model 3 vehicles built at its Shanghai factory, marking the occasion with a ceremony during which 15 of its employees received cars they had purchased. The event means the plant has started delivering cars to customers just 357 days after the factory’s construction started, setting a new record for global automakers in China. (Bloomberg) — Tesla Inc. delivered its first China-built cars on Monday, a milestone for Elon Musk’s company as it accelerates a push in the world’s largest electric-vehicle market.The company handed over the Model 3 sedans assembled at Tesla’s new multi-billion-dollar Shanghai plant — its first outside the U.S. — to company employees in a ceremony at the facility on Monday.
