(Bloomberg) — Rivian Automotive Inc., the electric-truck maker already backed by Amazon.com Inc. and Ford Motor Co., raised another $1.3 billion from investors led by T. Rowe Price to support the rollout of its debut vehicles next year.The funds generated from Rivian’s fourth major investment this year boosts the total raised to $2.85 billion. New orders for key U.S.-made capital goods barely rose in November and shipments fell, suggesting business investment will probably remain a drag on economic growth in the fourth quarter.
Electric vehicle startup Rivian said on Monday it closed a $1.3 billion investment round, led by fund manager T. Rowe Price but also including existing investors online retailer Amazon.com Inc and No. 2 U.S. automaker Ford Motor Co.
