Gambling revenue in the Chinese territory of Macau dropped 3.2%in October, as the U.S.-China trade war and political turmoil in neighbouring Hong Kong tempered demand from high rollers. The lower revenue was also partly because high rollers stayed away during national holidays earlier in the month, when Macau joined celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Nokia is targeting Malaysian ports in a bid to get a share of the country’s fifth-generation (5G) technology market, as the Southeast Asian country prepares to launch the ultra-fast mobile internet service next year.
