Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world’s largest pension fund, has suspended stock lending for short selling, calling the practice inconsistent with its responsibilities as a long-term investor. Three pharmacy chains, including Walgreens Boots Alliance, have filed a lawsuit against drugmakers Bausch Health Inc, Assertio Therapeutics and Lupin Ltd, seeking damages for overcharging for Bausch’s diabetes drug Glumetza. Vietnamese startup Bamboo Airways said on Tuesday it will take delivery of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner this month, its first wide-body aircraft, and aims to start direct flights to the United States by early 2021.
