General Electric loses place in elite Dow Jones Industrial Average

General Electric Co has lost its spot in the Dow Jones Industrial Average after over a century in the blue chip stock index, a new blow to a company that once towered over the American business landscape but is now struggling to retain its standing as an industrial powerhouse. Oracle’s quarterly results beat estimates on cloud growth

Oracle, which has cloud deals with AT&T (T.N) and Bank of America (BAC.N), is a late entrant to the cloud business and has been trying to catch up with rivals such as Amazon.com (AMZN.O), Microsoft (MSFT.O) and Salesforce.com (CRM.N). Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison said some of the company’s largest customers have now begun the process of moving their on-premise Oracle databases to the Oracle Cloud. Lawyer: Police think slaying of XXXTentacion was random

The lawyer for slain rapper XXXTentacion said Tuesday that detectives believe he was fatally shot in a random robbery while likely planning to buy a motorcycle at an upscale shop near a low-income neighborhood in South Florida. Attorney David Bogenschutz said investigators also told him the 20-year-old rapper, who pronounced his stage name “Ex Ex Ex ten-ta-see-YAWN,” had visited a bank shortly before the shooting and possibly withdrew cash for the purchase.
