(Bloomberg) — Artificial intelligence can spot breast cancer more accurately than doctors, according to a study by Google Health.The technology’s reading of mammograms reduced both false positives, where healthy patients are mistakenly diagnosed with the disease, and false negatives, where the cancer is missed, the Alphabet Inc. unit said in a blog post on Wednesday. Volkswagen on Thursday said it was in talks to discuss a settlement with German vehicle owners who are suing the carmaker over excessive pollution caused by VW’s diesel cars. (Bloomberg) — The battle over the Thai baht intensified in the new year, with the currency dropping sharply even before domestic markets opened.The baht plunged as much as 1.8% on Thursday, the biggest decline since 2007, to 30.226 against the dollar in early Asia trading.
