UPDATE 1-U.S. crude output rises 66,000 bpd to record 12.5 mln bpd in Sept- EIA

U.S. crude oil production in September rose to a new record of 12.46 million barrels per day (bpd) from 12.397 million bpd in August, the U.S. government said in a monthly report on Friday. Oil output in Texas rose 72,000 bpd in September, while production in North Dakota and the Gulf of Mexico fell during the month.
