TheStreet.com: A Cheap “Value” Stock?

TheStreet.com is an interesting stock which at $2 a share is trading below it’s current assets. Essentially, you are getting the business for free.
Last time the stock was this cheap was in 2002.
This is a company that has managed to make money despite being managed by Tom Clarke, one of the stupidest, and most incompetent media executives.

TheStreet.com is essentially a giant stock tout sheet conglomerate, with a strong database, and a good brand. The board has engaged Spencer Stuart to find a new CEO. Huge mistake. TheStreet.com needs a brilliant newsletter marketer to run the company, not some failed Fortune500 shmuck which is Spencer Stuart’s specialty. Nonetheless, TSCM is a compelling stock for a short term trade. Perhaps a good taget for an activist investor, at some point.
