Dark Cloud Will Hover Over Nio Stock for a Long Time

When Nio (NIO) released its latest sales numbers for the latest quarter, the 35.1 percent increase in sales gave some investors optimism for the company’s future potential. While the increase in sales looks impressive, the reality is the company only delivered 4,799 vehicles, with the majority of the sales coming from its low-priced ES6 SUV, which at this time loses money on every sale. This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if Nio was flush with cash, but without a cash infusion, the company will struggle to survive by as early as December 2019.Turning to TipRanks data, we find that NIO …read more […]

How Will We Deal With All the Debt?

Most people seem to accept the fact that debt is piling up in an unsustainable way.
The federal government’s deficit for 2019 should come in around $1 trillion. That’s the equivalent of about 5.1% of our gross domestic product (GDP). And it will push the total federal debt to more than $22 trillion.

What will happen during the next recession? The deficit could easily climb to $2 trillion or $3 trillion. We currently pay around $500 billion in interest on that …read more […]

Will Robinhood IPO in 2019?

A Robinhood IPO has been in the rumor mill for more than a year.
The first indication that Robinhood would go public came when it brought on long-time Amazon executive Jason Warnick to be its CFO. That was a year ago, and today Robinhood remains a private company.
However, Robinhood has not been opaque about its plans for an initial public offering. One of the company’s co-CEOs, Baiju Bhatt, said last year that an IPO is “something we think is very much in the future. Being a public company closely aligns with our mission.”
So, what exactly is Robinhood’s mission?
