UPDATE 1-Investors cheer falling production costs at Brazil's Petrobras

Investors cheered a significant cut in production costs at Brazil’s state-run oil firm Petrobras on Friday, sending shares in the company soaring 4% in morning trade, their biggest intraday gain in more than a month. In its third-quarter results released on Thursday night, the company said production costs in a key offshore oil area known as the “pre-salt” fell 20% from the previous quarter to around $5.03 per barrel. Russia’s largest internet group Yandex raised its 2019 revenue forecast for the third time on Friday after strong third-quarter growth, but its share price fell after a company earnings call. PG&E Power Line Failed Minutes Before a California Wildfire

(Bloomberg) — Bankrupt California utility giant PG&E Corp. had an equipment failure on a high-voltage transmission line just minutes before a wildfire was reported to have broken out late Wednesday.A 230-kilovolt PG&E power line went down at about 9:20 p.m. local time, according to a report filed with the California Public Utilities Commission.
