UPDATE 1-Airline Azul's third-quarter hit by Brazil's weak currency

Brazil airline Azul SA reported a third-quarter net loss of 438 million reais, taking a hit from the depreciation of the Brazilian real, the company said on Thursday. Azul, Brazil’s third biggest airline, is expanding rapidly and, like other airlines in the country, has felt the impact of currency fluctuations because much of their expenses — especially aircraft rent, airport fees and fuel — are denominated in U.S. dollars. Exxon's climate change fraud trial to wrap up in New York

Lawyers for New York state and Exxon Mobil Corp will make closing arguments on Friday in the closely watched trial in the state’s lawsuit charging that the oil major hid from its investors the true costs of regulations aimed at curbing climate change. The case, filed in October 2018 in Manhattan state court, was the first of several climate-related lawsuits against major oil companies to go to trial. Russian internet giant Yandex has started testing autonomous delivery robots, the latest addition to its technological arsenal, the company said on Thursday. Yandex, often described as ‘Russia’s Google’, operates a number of services that could benefit from autonomous delivery, in particular its restaurant delivery service Yandex.Eda, e-commerce arm Yandex.Market, a joint venture with Russian lender Sberbank, and recently launched service for grocery delivery, Yandex.Lavka. Lufthansa only interested in “restructured” Alitalia-CEO

German airline Lufthansa is only interested in investing in struggling Italian airline Alitalia, which is running out of cash and racing to find new funds, once it has been restructured, its chief executive said on Thursday. “The technical restructuring of taking elements out, people out needs to be done by the current ownership before we can see ourselves getting involved here,” Carsten Spohr told analysts after Lufthansa reported third quarter results.
